It's Christmas in July!

And yule love what we're making this year. So grab your hoop and floss, thread your needle and relax this busy season, one stitch at a time.

Join the Movie Magic SAL

Psst... you get this SAL for free inside The Cross Stitch Club. Find out more below.

The short and sweet highlights:

Movie Magic Cross Stitch Pattern

  • It measures approx. 13 x 20 inches when stitched on 14 count aida and has a movie theme.
  • The pattern releases are every other Sunday, starting 27th July 2025 and finishing 14th December 2025.
  • It uses 15 different colours of DMC thread. The full list of supplies is inside.
  • The pattern is a full counted cross stitch pattern with colour blocks and symbols.
  • It is mostly full cross stitches but does also have some backstitches and fractional stitches.

Video tutorials

  • For each pattern release, there is a video walkthrough explaining the pattern and the stitches.
  • The video tutorials and patterns are all hosted inside Teachable which is where you can log in to access everything in one place.
  • Every fortnight you will also receive an email with your patterns to download instantly to your device in case you are somewhere you can't log in right away.

But that's not all!

We've got a special bonus cross stitch stocking tutorial just for you! It is released after you have stitched all the pattern - the perfect way to wrap up this stitch along.

Part Two: Get Stitching

Part two kicks off July 27th and we will spend a few months stitching this pattern together.

  • Download patterns every other Sunday directly from the email you will receive or log in to find them instead.
  • The pattern is broken into manageable parts released every fortnight so you can sneak in stitching whenever you have a moment.
  • Don't worry about falling behind - as long as you download your patterns you will have access to them forever.

Part Three: Get Making

Part three will release on December 14th ready to wrap up this SAL.

  • Watch the beginner-friendly, easy to follow tutorial to guide you through making your own Christmas stocking from your finished design.
  • A sewing machine will speed up this part, but hand stitching works perfectly fine too (the tutorial will be with a sewing machine).
  • You do not need to be an expert in sewing to make this! I'm definitely not.

"I just don't have time for cross stitch"

I feel you! As a working mum of 2, fitting stitching in can be a challenge. But it is possible! And I will help you as much as I can.

'Get organised' will help you find moments to stitch that you may not have thought of before.

Sometimes all it takes is one simple shift and you will be finding time you didn't know you had. And here is one tip even if you don't join this SAL...

One of the biggest reasons I see for people not taking time for their hobbies is because they feel guilty.

Can you relate? I've been there. I would try and justify my relaxion all the time - mostly to myself. But the more I took time for myself and the things I loved doing, the better I felt. I want that for you too.

Please know, taking time for yourself isn't selfish. It's essential. Even if you don't join today, keep telling and showing yourself that until you believe it.

And one more thing to help you take time for yourself? Accountability.

That's why inside The Cross Stitch Club, we gather every week on Zoom so we can stitch together and encourage each other to prioritise our hobby time.

Plus this SAL is free to all members.

As long as you're in the club when this SAL starts, you will have access to it and everything else on offer - weekly meet-ups, bonus patterns, online retreat days, extra SALs and more.

And a bonus! Arriving late Summer, a free mini class; Cosy, Calm Christmas designed to help you make time for yourself this holiday season.

Christmas is my favourite time for hobbies, but finding time for yourself at the end of the year is difficult. So we're getting a jump on it this year and not burning out or leaving ourselves until last. We're making Christmas fun for the adults too!

This bonus class will only be available inside The Cross Stitch Club - you won't be able to get inside anywhere else.
