The nitty gritty details!

Let's take a closer look at what's included & all those details you're dying to know:

Christmas Traditions Cross Stitch Pattern

There are not many colours used in this design but that is because there are a lot of stitches of each individual colour. The grey colours (4th square) is not actually grey; this is the Coloris thread with red, green and white running throughout it.

  • It measures approx. 16 x 16 inches when stitched on 14 count aida and is a square-shaped once finished.
  • The pattern releases are every month at 10 am on a Sunday, starting 17th July 2022 and finishing 11th December 2022.
  • It uses 9 different colours of DMC thread. The full list of supplies is inside with links to my favourite and recommended brands.
  • The pattern is a full counted cross stitch pattern with colour blocks and symbols.
  • It is mostly full cross stitches but does also have a fair bit of backstitching.
  • You can stitch on black aida or you can make this a full coverage design and use black cross stitches to fill in your design.

Video tutorials

  • For each pattern release, there is a video walkthrough explaining the pattern and the stitches.
  • After the all of the pattern releases there is a tutorial released at the end where I will show you how to make a decorative pillow cover from your finished design.
  • The video tutorials and patterns are all hosted inside Teachable which is where you can log in to access everything in 1 place.

I've felt the guilt and frustration.

Hi, I'm Hannah, and my goal is to help women find space in their day to fill with their favourite hobby and end their day fulfilled, instead of drained.

I've been running Cross Stitch Alongs since 2017, and I've been hooked ever since. I've lost count of how many I've ran! My first ever SAL was a Christmas one so the Christmas SAL always has a special place in my heart.

I love SALs so much that my whole business is now pretty much running them.

I just love the community that evolves throughout. It's like when you're reading the same book as your best friend; you talk all about it and guess what's coming next. That's exactly what happens during a SAL, and you don't often see that in the cross stitch community. And seeing how much time everyone else is taking for their stitching helps show you that you deserve that time as well!

I can't wait to see your creativity come alive these next few months and see your beautiful pillow covers this Christmas!

You will love joining this SAL because:

I know you're busy, so that's why the pattern is broken down into chunks that are released every month to help you stay on track to finish on time.

FAQs

Do I have to make a pillow cover?

No, you can just frame the finished design however you would like to. That's totally fine and easier!

What stitches are included in the pattern?

The pattern is mostly full cross stitches with some backstitching. There are no French knots.

What is a Stitch Along?

A stitch along is an event where we all stitch the same pattern together over a set number of weeks/months for a certain length of time. So for the Christmas Traditions SAL we are stitching together for around 5 months and the parts of the pattern are released every third Sunday of the month.

How will I get inside after I purchase it?

Once you have purchased there will be a link on the confirmation page taking you right inside, plus you will get an email. You should either have to create an account with Teachable (the platform that hosts the course) or login if you already have an account.

How long will it take to finish?

If you follow along with us live and stay on track you will have a finished cushion cover by the middle of December. But don't worry if you fall behind, you get access to all of the patterns and videos even after we finish. I don't want you to worry about staying on track and rushing to finish; just enjoy the process and know that all the patterns will be there for you waiting for when you're ready, even if that means not using your cover until next year.

What comes with the purchase? Is there supplies included?

This is a fully digital product so you get instant access and nothing in the mail. The PDF patterns will be released monthly starting Sunday 17th July 2022 and there will be a list of the supplies you need once you're inside plus links to where you can buy them.

You will get a video walkthrough of the pattern each month and lots of hints and tips to help you along, plus the free Facebook group which is so supportive and helpful. You also get a video tutorial on how to turn your design into a cushion cover at the end.

Do I have to show up at a certain time or day?

To get the monthly patterns, nope. You just log into Teachable and access it at any time after the release; you don't have to show up for anything live.

How long do I have access to the product for?

How does forever sound? That's right, as long as the Hannah Hand Makes exists, you will have access to all of the patterns. Plus you can download them to keep.

Do you offer refunds?

For downloadable patterns, refunds are usually not offered. However, if you change your mind before we start stitching (17th July 2022) I can offer you a refund. Just get in touch hannah@hannahhandmakes.com. You can see the pattern below so you will know if you will enjoy the design before you join.

Will there be a kit available to buy?

For this one there isn't a kit but there are lots of links on where to buy all the fun supplies from once you're inside the SAL.
